Applying Templates

One of the most practical applications of Gluestick is for the quick creation of icons. The "Templates" drop down menu includes four backgrounds on which to build your icon, based on your need.

The Badged Folder Icon

Step 1

The badged folder template allows you to place a "badge" on the front of your folder, making identification faster.

Step 2

To use the badged folder template, scroll down the Templates menu to the first option.

The Disc Image Icon

Step 1

The disk image icon template is useful for customizing disk images.

Step 2

To use the Disk Image Template, scroll down the Templates menu to the second option.

The Document Icon

Step 1

The document is for individually labeling a file. The sample text ".extension" can be changed in the inspector, under the first tab, in the "text layer attributes" section.

Step 2

To use the Document Template, scroll down the Templates menu to the third option.

The Plug-in Icon

Step 1

The plug-in template is ideal for plug-in icons. The gear icon comes automatically, but the gluestick icon in the example is only a placeholder for your unique icon.

Step 2

To use the Plug-in Template, scroll down the Templates menu to the fourth option.
