Scibuntu is an open source and free project, a simple, graphical software that can transform your Ubuntu Linux operating system into an OS for scientists and science students.

Scibuntu is a script that adds scientific programs and other convenient tools to the plain desktop Ubuntu. It has support for a great number of scientific applications and tools.

What is new in this release:

• The new version adds lots of more programs than the former versions and is a almost complete rewrite of the code. With this version we also welcome scientists and science student to join the Scibuntu community.
